Our unique process guarantees excellence. The logs are by-products of our oak beam production, meaning they are denser and from more mature trees. We dry them in our biomass-powered kilns to a moisture content below 20%, ensuring you get a log that is ready to burn, burns hotter, and lasts longer.
Kiln dried logs produce less smoke, soot and creosote, resulting in less mess and a cleaner chimney and glass on your wood burner. Kiln-dried wood offers a brighter flame, which is more pleasing to the eye in a home.
Fewer logs are needed as the calorific value is far higher on kiln dried.
Kiln dried oak logs typically produce between 4-5 kwh per kilo, resulting in 4000-5000 kwh per tonne.
